This feature has the potential to enhance performance by decreasing system latency and providing more direct memory access. With Microsoft's Windows update, support for a new feature called "Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling" has been added, giving graphics cards full control over their own memory pools. Nvidia has also added support for nine new G-Sync compatible displays. With this update also comes support for Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling, a new feature which was added with Windows 10's 2004 update.
Right now, the full DirectX 12 Ultimate feature set is only available on Nvidia's RTX series of graphics cards. Nvidia has become the first graphics card manufacturer to offer PC gamers full DirectX 12 Ultimate support as well as Vulkan 1.2 support, supporting advanced features such as DirectX Raytracing (DXR) 1.1, mesh shaders, sampler feedback and Variable-Rate Shading (VRS).
